OFHS Family History Fair Saturday October 26th 2024

The Family History Fair organised by the Society is back for 2024!

It will be held at Cherwell School North Site on Marston Ferry Road, Oxford, OX2 7EE from 10:00 to 16:00 on Saturday 26th October 2024. If you are new to family history research and not sure where to start, or you are experienced but always looking for more information to support your research a family history fair is a great place to come.  You will find many experts willing to help you, including OFHS advisors and colleagues from the Oxfordshire History Centre bringing their resources and knowledge of the county. Other county FHS’ will also be able to help from our closest neighbours to further flung areas of the country. All this free advice and plenty of goodies to buy!

Travel Information:

Parking will be available at the school. If practicable please car share to help avoid the car park becoming full. There is no on-street parking available. If the car park is full you will need to use the public car park in Summertown.  Charges can be found at Summertown car park – Car Parks in Oxford | Oxford City Council.

For travel by car, it is suggested that you use the Banbury or Woodstock Roads. If travelling across the City and propose to use Marston Ferry Road please check at Traffic filters | Oxfordshire County Council. The County Council are proposing to install traffic filters on Marston Ferry Road but, as yet, do not have a firm timetable for this. It is partially dependent on the opening of Botley Road, on completion of the works at the railway station.
