Wright Family Holiday 1932

Every summer my grandparents took their children to the seaside often with grandad’s sister Lil Izzard with two of the Salter sons whom she cared for.
Sadly the summer of 1932 was to be their last. Our grandmother, Violet May Wright died that summer of pneumonia leaving her three children: Violet Edith Catherine aged seven, our mother, Arthur aged two, and Martin, aged ten to be brought up by their three aunts. Their father William Wright died three years later.
