We thank Gill King for this information.
Bicester war memorial, which is outside the north door to St Edburg’s Church, does not contain any names – they are all on plaques in the church porch. There is one for those who died from Bicester in WW1, one for WW2 and one for one Bicester man who died in the Korean War.
The Post Office memorial moved with the sorting office and is now in the Royal Mail sorting office in Murdock Road.
There are two war memorials in Bicester Methodist Church – one for their members who died and the one which came from the Congregational Chapel. The Congregational Chapel became Bicester United Reform Church in 1972. It later become a snooker hall and is now a restaurant.
You may find more information via the Bicester Local History Society.
