The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry on the Somme 1916

‘The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry on the Somme’ highlights four significant battles of the campaign in which five Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry battalions fought. The talk explains the political and military context, yet includes too a significant number of personal stories, anecdotes and legacies relating to those caught up in the actions. The talk is illustrated with contemporary and modern images, maps, photographs and ephemera.

We meet at the Exeter Hall, Oxford Road, Kidlington, OX5 1AB, with the talk starting at 8:00pm. Doors open at 7:15pm, when there will be advisors offering computer and genealogy help, books for sale, and tea and coffee available.

Non-members are very welcome.
