All the News that's Fit to Read - talk on 27 October at Exeter Hall

All are very welcome at our next meeting , on Monday 27 October 2014, when Richard Heaton will talk about “All the News that’s Fit to Read“.  It will be held at the usual venue at Exeter Hall, Oxford Road, Kidlington, Oxford OX5 1AB. Doors open at 7:15pm for coffee, the bookstall and genealogy and computer help.  The talk will be at 8pm.

Richard says his talk will cover online sources for British and Foreign Newspapers (both Free and Pay for View) and an update on the Police Gazette. Attendees will see examples of what we can find and will learn how to squeeze more out of their online newspaper searches.

Richard has collected and transcribed newspapers since 2000, and has a collection of over 25,000 original examples (he may show a few), and has his own newspaper site called lastchancetoread.com.
