Our colleagues at the Oxfordshire History Centre have been working with others in the County Council to deliver an improved Heritage Search facility. It introduces new datasets and brings together in one place information from across Oxfordshire’s history, museums and archaeology services. This brings a greater understanding and shines a light on the environment in which our Oxfordshire ancestors lived. The datasets also contains information on individuals.
Mark Lawrence of Oxfordshire History Centre tells us:
‘We’ve made it simple to follow your research across our different heritage collections. We’ve also added new data not previously available, including lists of Oxfordshire sale catalogues, local newspaper name indexes and the Oxfordshire Historic Environment Record, as well as Picture Oxon, our online photographic archive.
Try out the new version of our online catalogue and let us know what you think.
