The presentation on 12 September 2022 over Zoom, began with a brief introduction to the history of Quakerism, and a little about the distinctiveness of Quaker culture, followed by a look at the wide range of Quaker sources. The scope of the talk is restricted to Quakerism in the British Isles.

The VCH Oxfordshire team is currently researching Chipping Norton and its immediate area, for the next volume in the Oxfordshire series. In this illustrated talk Simon Townley will explore different aspects of Chippy's history, encompassing its medieval origins and castle, the famous Bliss tweed mill, and 19th-century struggles with sewage - along with some long-lasting family names.
8th July 2024 - In this meeting over Zoom, Gill Blanchard will show us how to bring the story of our ancestors to life. How to stop researching and start writing, choose a format and what to include. What to do with our family stories, missing pieces, and anomalies. We will discover how to bring life to the page with the author of Writing Your Family History (Pen and Sword, 2016) and experienced writing tutor and biographer.
This is a Zoom meeting on 14 October 2024, with the talk starting at 8pm. Speaker Sue Gibbons - This talk will look at the general principles for keeping things safe and in good condition. Detailed advice on caring for and storing original documents, maps, books and other paper items, photographs, etchings and paintings, textiles such as samplers, christening robes, unforms etc, inherited objects including furniture, jewellery, ceramics and toys.
The hybrid talk by Trevor Jackson covers the history of Oxford’s cemeteries, how they came about, where they were located and how they came to fill up so quickly early on.
