Hatch, Match and Despatch - A Few Lessons from Civil Registration

This talk is an introduction to acquiring a real understanding of the records of civil registration – learn how and why these vital records are recorded, the complex rules that govern their creation, and where and how to search indexes to find them.
Antony Marr is a retired police officer with many years training experience, and a former deputy registrar of births, deaths and marriages. He is now a professional genealogist and member of the council of AGRA (Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives) with a specific interest in the records of civil registration.
