Dating and understanding your old family photographs

Summary: Stephen Gill FRPS will show us some techniques to allow us to date old photographs. Putting a date to a photograph may allow better identification of who is actually in the photograph and maybe why the photograph was taken in the first place.
Speaker Bio. Over the years I have gained a vast amount of both practical and academic experience plus qualifications including Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society and being awarded Accredited Senior in Imaging in the Creative Industries. I was introduced to photography when I was about 7 and thankfully had parents and grandparents who valued family photography. As time has passed I have inherited thousands of images. Having started photo restoring in the days of working directly on the negative or print, and with years of experience managing the digital restoration services of a national restoration service.
This talk will take place over Zoom and the meeting will open at 7:15pm with the talk starting at 8pm.
